Sooji Halwa



Ok here is a very simple dish, honestly till I tried myself I always used to think that making halwa is a tedious task, & if you too think the same, believe me its not  :) try it today!!

Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 20-25 minutes
Serves: 3

Ingredients:
  • Sooji – 1 cup
  • Sugar – 1 cup (lesser if you want is slightly less sweet)
  • Water – 2.5 cup
  • Ghee -  1/2 cup + 1 tbsp
  • Dry fruits (cashew, Raisins, Almonds) – Chop almonds and cashews for garnishing

Method:
  • Take a kadhai, when hot add ghee.
  • Add sooji & keep stirring till it changes to darker brown color.
    Sooji turned brown









  • Add water & keep stirring till the consistency is thicker.

  • Add raisins and some almonds & cashews & add around 1 tbsp ghee and mix.
  • Mix well & serve hot, garnished well with rest of the dry fruits.
