Bread & Sooji Tango

These days I have some more flexibility of playing around with dishes and being sure that nothing would go wrong, why? Well Mom is here :-) and so below is one of her quicky recipe which I am sharing with all of you.. Try out and see for yourself, it is a nice change to usual bread recipes.

Bread & Sooji Tango

Cooking Time: 30 minutes
Serving: 3-4 people

Ingredients:
1.             Bread – 1 loaf
2.             Sooji – 100 gm
3.             Onion – 1 medium
4.             Tomato – 1 medium
5.             Green chilli – 1
6.             Coriander leaves
7.             Cream / Regular malai with milk – 4 tbsp
8.             Milk – 4 tbsp
9.             Oil to toast bread.
10. Salt to taste

Method
1.            Saute sooji in a small nonstick kadhai / pan without any oil, on medium flame for 5 minutes.
2.           Once done, take it out in a plate and keep for cooling.
3.           Chop onions, tomato, chilli, coriander leaves in fine pieces.
4.           Once sooji is not hot, add chooped onions, tomato, chilli, coriander leaves in sooji.
5.           Once mixed add cream / malai to mix sooji and vegetables, in order to make it thick paste. Add salt to taste.

6.           If it looks dry, add a little milk.
P.S.: If paste will be dry then it will be difficult to apply it on bread and toast bread with oil.
7.           Take bread slice, apply sooji and vegetable paste on one side of bread slice.
P.S: Add paste to 2-3 slices at a time and then place on hot pan / tawa to toast with some oil. This will help the bread and paste in not getting dried.

8.           To toast, apply some oil on tawa and place bread in a way that sooji side is facing upwards.

9.           Keep flame on medium and once bread looks brownish, use a spatula to turn bread, in order to make sooji side toasted.
P.S: Once turned do not move bread for 1 minute,  by then sooji will be toasted and will not stick on tawa.
10.      Make sooji side slightly brown and bread is done.
11.      Cut corners before serving hot with tomato ketchup.
